In 2018, GNB Nepal brought together 16 young girls (aged 17-21 years) from high child marriage and human trafficking prone districts for a Youth Champion capacity development training in Pokhara. These young girls (four from each district) were drawn from Nuwakot, Makwanpur, Bara and Myagdi districts. This training was in line with developing young role models in the society against child marriage. The training focused to educating the participants on the laws against the practice, advocacy tools they can use to raise awareness in their community. The participants ended the training to commitment to not marry until they reached their legal age and spread what they have learned to their friends and the community.
