In 2018, Sakcham Rural Nepal conducted a month-long campaign against child and forced marriage. The campaign covered over 3200 students in 40 schools aged between 12 to 18 years in schools along the route from Kakarvitta to the capital Kathmandu (K2), spanning over 10 districts. The campaign focused on educating school childrens about the legal provisions about child marriage in the country via videos, pamphlets and posters. Interactions were also held on the health and social consequences of early marriage. In the end, girl students in 30 schools formed volunteer groups to work together with Sakcham Rural Nepal to raise voice against child marriage.
