GNB Nepal supported in drafting the 2016 National Strategy to End Child Marriage which was endorsed by the government. GNB Nepal also drafted a Costed Implemented Plan (CIP) to ensure that the strategy is translated to actions on the ground. The CIP was prepared under the leadership of Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen and support from UNICEF and GNB Nepal, laying out the cost of successfully implementing the 51 strategies under six pillars defined by the Strategy, with inputs gathered by GNB Nepal members from stakeholders. The Strategy recognises the following six pillars to end child marriage and listed below are selected programs initiated by GNB Nepal members under the pillars to achieve the national target.
