In 2018, under a grant from the Amplify Change, GNB Nepal held a series of dialogues and workshops at all three levels of the current administrative structure of the country: local, provincial and national level. It focused on advocacy and policy dialogues with policy makers and stakeholders to not just talk about child marriage but also secure commitment from local bodies to allocate budget for ending child marriage.
The programs covered all seven province headquarters and two districts from each province. In total, it reached 15 districts covering 73 rural and urban municipalities. The program helped increase awareness among government officials and local stakeholders and secured their commitment towards ending child marriage in their area.
